About Mountain Valley Winery

Founded by Don Collier in 1991, Mountain Valley Winery is one of the largest wineries in the state and has produced well over 500 award-winning wines since opening our doors!

Focusing our efforts on making some of the best sweet fruit wines to be had anywhere in the U.S., we also make many traditional German and French style wines. Our large Wine Cellar is open to the public on our guided tours everyday of the week, and one can also get useful information about the Great Smoky Mountains area.

“You can be a winery in the South rather easily, just open a winery below the Mason-Dixon.

But to be a true Southern Winery you have to make some great tasting Muscadine wine!”

Mountain Valley’s Master Winemaker, Doug Seitz

We continually strive to achieve excellence in our sweet wine production, especially in regards to our Muscadine wines. Partnering with over 50 local vineyards we bring in the best TN grown grapes and make them into our award-winning wines.

We offer tours of our Wine Cellar from Noon – 5 p.m. everyday with families and children welcome. Wine tastings are free and available to all those 21 years and older with a valid photo I.D.

We have won numerous awards over the years the most recent being a Concordance Gold at Wines of the South for our Collier Reserve , a sweet red muscadine
