Garlic Cream
Pizza Royale
2 packages Martha White Pizza Crust Mix
˝ cup Tennessee dry white wine
1 shallot, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1-˝ cups Purity whipping cream
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Wesson oil
2 sweet onions, cubed
1 cup cooked shredded beef
1 cup grated Sweetwater Valley Farm Volunteer Jack cheese
Prepare sauce by combining wine, shallot and garlic in a saucepan
over high heat. Reduce until about 1/4 cup remains, less than 5
minutes. Add cream and reduce heat to medium. Heat until sauce is
thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, around 6 minutes. Cool to
room temperature.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat until hot.
Add onions and cook without stirring, about 5 minutes. Toss and
continue cooking without stirring for 5 minutes more. Toss again and
cook until onions are caramelized, about 15 minutes. Cool to room
temperature.
Prepare pizza dough according to package directions and roll out in
two pans. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Gently spread half of cooled
cream sauce over dough, then top with half of caramelized onions and
beef. Sprinkle with half of cheese. Repeat and bake for 10 minutes
or until crust is golden brown.
